Fully Supported
Irie Pascal is a fully supported product of Irie Tools Limited (see the Irie Tools blog about
the incorporation of Irie Tools Limited).
Teaching Pascal
At its core, Irie Pascal is a production quality and highly compatible implementation of Standard (ISO/IEC 7185) Pascal. This combination
of high quality and compatibility make Irie Pascal especially suitable for teaching Pascal programming. Of course the
excellent compile-time and run-time diagnostic messages don't hurt either.
Database programming
Irie Pascal makes database programming simple with built-in objects that for database connections and datasets.
Irie Pascal programs running under Windows can access any database that supports ODBC
(including SQL Server,
Oracle, and
Sysbase). Irie Pascal programs running under the other supported operating systems can access
MySQL databases.
CGI
The Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is a simple but
powerful protocol for building web applications. Irie Pascal simplifies CGI programming with built-in support for
the most tedious parts of the protocol (like decoding and parsing URL encoded strings).
